@T= TEHRAN - Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamene has appointed Major General Mohammad-Ali Jafari as the new commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC).
Ayatollah Khamenei has appointed former IRGC commander Yahya Rahim Safavi as his top assistant and advisor on armed forces issues.
Safavi served as the IRGC commander for ten years
